Feb 16, I took the grandson (9) on his first trip to collect. He's a natural.

I've prepped a few so far

The long thin one id Dentalium; others yet to be ID'd. Dentalium; Tusk Shells date back to Devonian and still exist today. The NW Native Tribes used the as currency. Today they are very popular for beadwork

The last (2) are yet unknown. The pic with the multiple shells is a rare occurance. If you look closely at the end of the complete shell; there is a 3rd very small snail type shell.

March 15, we head north to another site. May have the younger grandson (6) this time too.

Hi Rain,
Nice fossils, and real nice prep work. Your grandson looks he had a blast, that's so cool. Keep us posted on you future trips. Thanks for posting this one,
Dan
