Texas gal here...

Postby GemTree on Thu Jul 09, 2009 6:05 pm

Boy has it been hot lately. Time to stay indoors cutting and polishing rock! Got the idea to ask some people how to add running water to my Titan grinder and found you folks. Hope I can get some ideas to hook up water and drain. I dislike the mess of having the sprinkler system they have,,,what's that they call it, a geyser? What a mess.

Love rocks. I like making cabs, wands and just wire wrap a chunk of rock or maybe make some points. I learned silver smithing so I could get a little fancier with my stones settings. Did I mention I love rocks?

Hi Beth,
Welcome to the group. A idea for your water system, at shows some dealers fold indoor/outdoor carpet, and attach it to the inside of the splash guard, it helps to keep splash down, and evenly distributes water across the wheels. With this set-up you can even stop the water for a time, and the wheels stay moist.
Thanks for the question, let us know your thoughts.

Well, I forgot all about yall til I got an email reminding me. Thanks for the reminder....*snicker* Been playing on FB a lot lately.

Well, I am not interested in carpet...no offense. It would just be more mess and I could not see thru my splash guard. The one came with it was useless (too small, I ruined clothes) so I bought a sheet of plastic and heated and bent it to make a tall one that sits IN the reservoir that I can reach around either side. I guess now I know how to use this camera, I should go take pics and post them of my set up.
