WOW some new

Postby Slabius on Fri Apr 03, 2009 9:48 am

Hello all, its been a few weeks since i've posted, I have been busy with trying to make ends meet.

I have recently been fortunate to acquire some old lapidary equipment, 12" drop saw, Highlandpark saw/shaper/polisher combo, a small lap polishing unit, and another two wheel polishing unit, plus a few crates of slabs and rough witch included some Lapis, Jade, Crysocola, and some old tourquoise rough.

I am busy cleaning/restoring this equipment as it has sat in storage for years and appears to have not ever been cleaned  .

I will post pics soon.

Whew! That's a lot of equipment to get at once. Awesome, just like Christmas!!! Yeah, I'd like to see some pics of it. Do you have a lot of rust to deal with? I've fixed up a couple old saws myself, trying to get all the old rust out was the worst... Once you've done the work you should have some nice equipment that will last a loong time.

Sounds like a big project, but like you'll end up with most of a shop! That's great.
