Tiffany Stone wrap

Postby weeshan on Sun Mar 02, 2008 8:25 pm

To be honest, this one kicked my butt. The first Tiffany cab I did was horrible. It undercut something awful and no shine whatsoever. I started another cab and on this one the material was more stable. Still not a real liquid shine but I wasnt expecting it after the first one.

The wrap wouldnt be something I would like but my friend likes gold and she also would like something more frilly than I would so I tried to make what I knew she would like. Im finding that its really difficult to make things for people in a style that you dont care for but the important thing was that she really liked it.

Thanks for lookin,

Good job, Shan.We might call that tastefully frilly, as opposed to bizarre frilly. Nice all around effect.

Great Job Shannon,
That is a very nice piece. How long did it take to wrap? The gold looks good.

No Im not frilly......and Joe is in trouble for even calling me that LOL.

Dan, it took about an hour to wrap and then I tumbled it in steel shot to shine it up and harden the wire a bit. If I would have been making it for myself it would have only had a small bail on top and no loop de loop thing.
