Greeting all,
Looks like a nice informative forum you have going. Just getting back into rockhounding since I was a kid. Haveing a little trouble remembering all I have learned, but I'm having fun. Had a little luck, I got a 15 pound tumbler for $25 and am 1 week from finishing my first tumble. I have a lot to learn, and not much to offer but it's great to be here.

Thanks
LS

Welcome L S
Glad to have you aboard. Be sure to post pictures of your first tumble batch. We will be glad to help in anyway we can. Do you rockhound much in Idaho? (Star Garnets? Party5 ) Do you do a lot of collecting yourself?
Again welcome, and look forward to your posts,
KOR

I rockhound in Oregon and Idaho, I have yet to go after Star Garnets but it is on the list. I really only collect for myself, and I gather most of what I have. I am just getting back into it since 4H as a kid and am mostly into the hunt as I don't have much in the way of lapidary equipment or knowledge. One sad development is that many of the places I used to go are now private property and posted. I did go out to an Agate area this weekend, didn't find much but had a good time (except the mud).

Thanks
