Howdy From Northwest MO

Postby SteveP on Mon Feb 23, 2009 4:19 pm

I figured I would say hi and hope to hear from a few of you in my area as I am in need of help. I am completely new to the lapidary thing (so new I don't even know if I spelled that right!). I have been given about 3 tons of rough rock... don't ask what is there as I have no idea... it's rock. Some is cut some is just big ole honkin' rocks some small honkin' rocks, but lots of promise. I would really like to find someone in the Kansas City MO area that might be willing to come take a look and see what I got, I know what I want to do with it I just don't knw where to start. So if you're in the area or have some good advice let me know as I'm just wishing on a star here.

If you want to come hang out for a few days you're more than welcome to... I think I'm going fishing tomorrow or Wednesday... I think my best bet would to be take some pics and upload.

By the way you all have a great site here I've already learned alot just searching through the posts and such.

I posted a slide show of some stuff on the "Pictures of Rocks" page.
